As Nike says, "Just do it." The first step to being a published author is having a complete manuscript, and in order to have a complete manuscript, you need a first chapter. You just need to hold yourself accountable and keep weaving your stories. Also don't be afraid of starting over or abandoning a concept if it no longer excites you. Lastly write for you, not for some audience, as it will come over more natural if you just write for yourself than with the intention to market.

Currently I am writing both the prequel (Dawn of Man), as well as sequel (Day Break), to my published novel Dark Age.
