Rina Gray I try not to force the words on the page. I usually will get up and do something fun. If I'm in a homebody mood, I will read some of my favorite books to get inspired.
Rina Gray I love dreaming up characters and situations. It's my way to relax, and when I'm really hitting my stride, I get a little happy buzz. Simply put, it makes me happy!
As a bonus: I love the camaraderie of the writing community. I've had great opportunities to met fellow writers at conferences and retreats. I have the best time meeting with my critique partners on a weekly basis.
Rina Gray Do not quit and do not compare yourself to others. You are uniquely made and your experiences and perspective and words will be different. Embrace it. Also, have a thirst for learning. Whether you're a craft book person or prefer to take courses, it is so important to learn and stretch yourself.
Rina Gray I'm currently bouncing between two manuscripts. I'm editing the second book in the Crush on You Series - It's Been You and I'm also writing the third book in the series - Crazy for You.
Rina Gray A lot of things -- movies and book, friends and family, music and conversations.
Rina Gray The spark of the idea happen when I saw a music video about a small town girl roaming the streets of NYC with a cute guy she'd just met. A few weeks later, I was in New Orleans at a reader and writer conference I told my cousin I wanted to write a contemporary romance. I told her about my idea and she said "Fantastic. Sounds like a book I would love to read so...write the book." So I wrote the book.
