I DO IT WRONG! I swear I'm gonna write a book about this some day! Our educational system has so made writing difficult for young people because there is this sense that you have to be able to write something in one shot and turn it in, like it's a state mandated test you have to pass to graduate. RIDICULOUS! All real writers, rewrite and rewrite and rewrite to make it better, funnier, and stronger. Writer's block comes from a sense of insecurity, that you're going to make a mistake! GOOD! Make the mistake and keep going! You'll fix it later!

I enjoy exploring human nature and letting my imagination run amok. I've always had a lot of "characters" in my head. Writing just organizes and directs them. Then, revising and using my words to pull emotions out of my readers. Language is AMAZING!

I've always loved Science Fiction and exploring the power of the human mind/psychic powers. From seeing a CRAZY old movie called, "Scanners," when I was a kid, to seeing "the 6th Sense," and more recently, "Push," I've often wondered what really is possible. As a teacher I've worked with many teenagers who are stopped from success because they don't know how to get over past emotional traumas. I think we all need to learn how to do that if we are ever going to find long-term happiness.
