Honestly, if I am feeling a little stuck, I sit down in front of a computer, block out distractions, and follow Anne Lamott's advice to write a "shitty first draft." Once I get that out the way, I usually have lots of ideas about how to make something better, although they don't usually come all at once. Maybe I will start over. Usually I work on something, put it aside, think about it while I am doing other things, then come back to it, commonly several times.
