Sarah L. Blair For me, writer's block means that I'm usually afraid of something. Whether it's not being good enough, not being able to get the story on the paper the same way it's in my head, or something awful I know I need to do to a character. Once I'm able to identify what's scaring me, I can figure out how to deal with it and move on.

Then this girl walked into my head, she was so confident, she acted like she belonged there, or even like she'd always been there. She asked, "What have we got?" and I thought...
