I am currently working on finishing a children's picture book, titled Why the Markers Cried.
I am also writing a memoire/retrospective of my life in the childcare field. It includes a look at child care and how it has changed from the 1970s on to the present and my experiences during those decades. I will include child care techniques that have stood the test of time, and what works, what doesn't, and what children really want, and what parents and educators really want.

I got the idea for my most recent book when I was at a huge park on Canada day enjoying my city's celebrations. I wondered: what it would be like for a little kid to be lost in this park, surrounded by thousands and thousands of people. That was the main idea behind What about Lucas?
