I think it might be in the dystopian world of Phillip K. Dick's "Man in the High Castle". Life in an America split under Nazi and Japanese rule would only make us all value even more the sacrifice Fascism in World War II to insure this did not become reality.

OK. I tend to be very geeky. I am currently reading the memoirs of Nikita Kruschev, the History of MI6, and the Polish classic Of Fire and Sword.

It all started with my loving wife! We took a trip to Poland together and visited Auschwitz. That was the seed for the first book, "The Willow's Bend". And the rest of the trilogy just progressed from there.
