Inspiration comes from various sources - from the happenings and my immediate response to events, from the positive work being done by real, live people, from other writers' and artists' work, through the tragicomic or fragile nature of our lives...even from the will to make a difference through writing after seeing so many abhorrent things around me. Of course, lately, I get inspired to write through an inner calling, especially when I'm meditating.

One of the best things about being a writer is that you are able to give creative, entertaining or uplifting expression to your thoughts, your values, your hidden nature or character. An expression that can evolve beyond your own persona and meaningfully touch the lives of other human beings.

Whenever I feel a bit constrained in writing, I nurture the thoughts within my mind and let them emerge stronger in a process of intuitive refinement. I also mingle with those seedlings the manure of further reading and reflection. Soon enough, a time comes when I can no longer keep myself away from the keyboard!
