are you familiar with the Wadlington family in Trigg county? These are my ancestors on my Dad's side and I have been told the first generation came from Scotland, fought the British, and took payment in the form of land in The Ohio Territory... Kentucky for their services. Other names associated with the stories I have heard are Humphries, Thomas and James . The last Wadlingtons lived in Cadiz.
Geoff Baggett Yes, indeed! I know members of the Washington, Humphries, and Thomas clans! The old Humphries Cemetery is about 500 yards behind my home. Patriots Thomas and Absalom Humphries are buried there. We have a legion of descendants of James Thomas in this area. They have their own family association.

Pierre Grimard is my 5th great-grandfather. He was commanded by Capt. Francois Busseron in 1778 during the Revolutionary War. I am wondering if this is who the character in your book is based upon?
Geoff Baggett Yes, indeed. He is my wife's 5th GGF, as well. :)

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Geoff Baggett I research and keep digging into history to find a unique "hook" or "angle" to help mold the next phase of my story.

Geoff Baggett Getting to let my imagination tell my stories!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Geoff Baggett Just tell your stories and bounce them off of people who are close to you. Listen to their input ... they care.

What are you currently working on?
Geoff Baggett I'm working on my next installment in my "Patriots of the Revolutionary War Series." It's the story of another of my distant great-grandfathers who fought on the frontier in Georgia and South Carolina during the Revolution.

How do you get inspired to write?
Geoff Baggett My family history is what inspires me. My family tree is full of amazing people with unbelievable stories. I want to tell them all!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Geoff Baggett I got the idea during my personal genealogical research. I discovered these three amazing brothers who were basically living on their own as teenagers during the American Revolution. I researched military records and "filled in the blanks" to tell their story.
