Honestly a combination of my imagination and news stories. The idea of people wanting to have a child but for some reason they cannot do so the "traditional" way and then my imagination taking it to plausible extremes.

Life really. I am an observer of what goes on around me, and as I get older, what goes on within me. I have a feelings others do the same so writing is my way to connect our experiences to our imaginations...or at least MY imagination. That inspires me to write.

Book One of a sensual thriller series I'm really excited about. The main character is a five foot ten, buff, butterscotch complexioned, chisel cheeked, funk/blues/neosoul/hip-hop singer who loves women (and they love him) and hates to see them get hurt (a bit of a save-the-girl syndrome). The world around him is turned upside down when he goes on tour and stops in a town, population 347 and one strange characteristic. There are no men.

Don't listen to advice. Just do. #ironichuh

The creative release...best way to describe is to think about how you feel when you REALLY REALLY REALLY "gotta go" and then you finally make it to the restroom. Or for a more pleasant visual...think about the catharsis of making love.

I actually never get writer's block. I guess I've been fortunate that way. If anything I have TOO MUCH to say and the challenge is figuring out the most judicious way to convey the point. But for those writers that do get "block." I say just write. Write anything. Write something that doesn't have anything to do with the story. Start another story but make sure you write because you don't want to get into the rut of NOT writing.
