Fangs sunk down into my neck, not euphoric like the stories I'd heard, but painful, burning, throbbing. Staring into glowing red irises, I knew my life was about to change into a nightmare I had no control over.

Sharing my world with readers. I love when readers get back to me to tell me they enjoyed my story and can't wait for the next one.

That's such a good question, and equally hard to answer. My first answer was Caldwell, NY... home of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. But I would probably get myself killed, so that wouldn't work. LOL Same goes with Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter's world. I'd be dead within the week, unless one of the Hunter's turned out to be my mate. ;)
Wherever I ended up, I would want the world to have shifters and other magical beings. As to what I would do there.. *shrugs* Try to fit in, and survive? ;)

I need to catch up on JR Ward's books. The last one I read was The King. So, that means I need to get The Shadows, The Beast, and The Chosen. I'm woefully behind on so many of my favorites. Sherrilyn Kenyon and Ilona Andrews are next on my list.

Funny you should ask that. To be honest, that's how Phoenix Rising came about. Wondering if I would ever know true love, I imagined my perfect partner. Quinn came into being, with the story unfolding. Unfortunately, I haven't met my Quinn, but I've got a great series going.

Write, even if it's just a paragraph. As long as you are writing, you are moving forward.

Eternal Embrace, book 2 of the Kindred series will be going out to beta readers in another month. I've recently started working on book 3, A Destiny Denied.

It started with that in between time between waking and sleep. Imagining the perfect man, what he looked like, where we would meet. It went from there. Three years of dreaming and the story filled itself in.
