After thinking on this terrific question for a day, two characters are tied for my favorite: Canadian cougar Lucinda Carlyle, Isabel's boss from Tempting Isabel and Preeya's psychic best friend Gigi Donlow from Catching Preeya. Both eccentric characters had major influences over the H&H's journeys toward their ultra-earned HEAs, and were a total blast to write.

Hi and thanks for asking! The full-length novels in my debut series are indeed stand-alone books (so can be read independently of one another). They do have interconnected characters/cool surprise cameos, so reading them in order is fun, yet not at all necessary. For example, Tempting Isabel's heroine Isabel fights her hard fight with her big brother Antonio by her side—Antonio is the tall, dark and humble hero in book #2, Taking Jana). Thanks again for your question!

Have patience. Be hungry. Find a balance between the two, all while you write, write, write! And read a ton. Then write some more. Rinse and repeat.

It seems like I'm working on a billion things at once! I'm juggling the final stages of three books, Tempting Isabel, Taking Jana, and Catching Preeya, all part of my debut series, Paradise South. Their rolling release will begin late May. Then books four and five are in earlier stages, and I hit them with revisions when the others are in editors' or betas' hands. And then, as an indie, there's the marketing and business stuff. Whoever said writers are crazy was dead on right! And I hope to be crazy-busy for a long time to come ;-)

When writer's block hits, it hits hard, and I back. Away. From. The laptop. No need to pour energy into the blockage.
I read my favorite inspirations like Laura Kaye, Megan Hart, Jojo Moyes, Laurelin Paige, Sylvia Day. I also read with my daughter (while she'll still have me!—she's ten). We delve into Harry Potter, Secret Garden, Tuck Everlasting, Bridge to Terabithia—all fabulous works that keep my creative juices flowing.
And I watch stuff—mostly romantic comedies, but also my gotta-have-'em shows like Game of Thrones, House of Cards and Black Sails. They kick me out of romance-mode while keeping me plugged into killer-story creation.
Lastly, I bike ride. Never underestimate the power of exercise and blood flow.
It only takes a few days to conquer the block with a spark of something, and then I'm back at it!

The best thing about being a writer for me is falling... Falling into a scene head first, head-over-heels, head-in-the-clouds falling. I lose time, space...everything. I never in my life thought that I could LOVE my day job. After the initial hurdle of getting down into a story, I become addicted! It's hard for my family to rip me away from my keyboard, my office, my story-world! Dangerous stuff ;-) but they succeed, feed me, then back I go, back to falling for my characters and their journeys. <3
