I like to write at busy cafes as I am productive with people and noise around me. The hubbub inspires me and I find that a good cup of coffee also helps. If I am really stuck, I write something else, but I never force it. There is a distinct difference in my writing when 'free and creative' is compared to 'forced'. Always let it flow.

The journey of a thousand steps starts when you put one foot in front of the other, so take the first step. Write a sentence, then a paragraph and don't get too bogged down early with mind-mapping or developmental ideas, just write. Do not stifle your creativity by overplanning, just write. You will have plenty of time to plot and plan as you go.

Freedom of expression. Inspiring readers and having them live the story you have just put in front of them, seeing them relate to characters and become emotionally invested in the story. As a full-time author writing is both a passion and an obsession - I simply cannot stop writing. I do so at my own time, at whatever location I desire and being free of the constraints of the corporate world has had appeal for many years.

Warrior Princess is the first backstory in the Dark of Dawn series. The first book Dark of Dawn: 4Horsemen features many great characters, I felt it important to tell a little more of their story in order to provide a better picture to readers. It has been exciting to build on the main novel with these novelettes.

I have always enjoyed writing, but as far as this series goes it all came to me in a dream - a nightmare. So vivid and real, I began to jot down snippets and ideas, which morphed into sentences and paragraphs until eventually a book was born.
