Rucha Joshi I jot down my points in a small notebook I carry everywhere. those might be any random titles, words, links, or even dialogues. When facing a block, I open the notebook and ponder upon those ideas. I connect them and string them together until I come up with what's called a legit plot.
I listen to music. it helps a lot.
Read my favourite books. E. A. Poe and Wodehouse come at handy. So do Austen, The Brontes and Ruskin Bond.
Pinterest helps too. I browse through different images on Trevillion.com and listen to epic music by Adrian Von Zieglar.
Rucha Joshi Creation. It gives you an opportunity to bring your fictional world to the reality and invite your readers into it. Such a beauty that is!
Rucha Joshi For all the aspiring writers, all I say is write, write and write. Write as you'd bleed and breathe. Read like it's an oxygen. Devour upon classics like food.
and then edit like you are a slaughterer. Somewhere in the whole process you'll create your own masterpiece!
Rucha Joshi FACE is my debut novel published on 21st January 2016. I'm currently working on it's sequence FADE.
Also, I'm writing a novella, THE PLAYGROUND, a dark fantasy horror tale tentatively scheduled to be released next year 2017.
I'm planning on a short story collection based on different landscapes and abstract fiction.
Rucha Joshi Music. When I listen to the music, I see random stuff. Those then become an exemplary part of the stories I tell (and write)
Rucha Joshi The idea of FACE ‘happened’ to her, a lazy afternoon of 4th April 2012, when she had bunked a class and was sitting on a chair peeping out of the window and biting on her favorite KITKAT. All of a sudden she ‘saw with her eyes’ a little girl seeing a ghostly face and then the scene transformed into a party and the same face, but this time ‘he’ was real and standing in front of a young seventeen year old girl staring at ‘him’ astonished. Rucha threw her KITKAT and grabbed her class book and wrote the scene on the last page. The song she was listening all the while- My Immortal by Evanescence
