I have been kicking around the idea of my main character coming out of a coma, and finding out that what he had thought was his life had been nothing but a 'coma dream'.

Would have to be Jack and Rose from "Titanic". A rich girl, and a poor boy come together and fall in love. There have been many variations of love from 'across the tracks'...but this one is immortal. Against all odd, Jack wins a ticket on the Titanic, by chance meets the pretty Rose, and love follows. He even dies so that she can survive...true love at it's finest!

My fantasy world. I 'live my story', meaning the thoughts, conversations, actions of my story are going through my head constantly. Crazy? Maybe, but an author has to be able to visualize the story before he can get others to want to be part of it.

A friend, Drake Russell. As a role player, we always have a story in our hearts... he (as well as my wife) encouraged me to tell that story.

My fourth book will be the beginning of a new saga, it will still include the heroes from my first saga... but it will be a new nation to learn about.

Do not become discouraged. If no one buys your books... keep writing. If no one gives you reviews...keep writing. If for no other reason than to tell your story. It only takes one person to see your work, to read your work, and if that one person tells someone else.. well now you have a following. Follow your dream, and keep on writing.

Telling the story. I have role played for years, have played computer game for even longer. Both platforms are good for the imagination... but to tell a story, from scratch, and have a reader tell you that they could not put the book down... that is the completion of a dream.

Currently, writers block is not a concern. I have many ideas floating in my head... but before I commit them to paper, I 'live them' in my head. If the idea makes sense in my head, then the idea is plausible for print.

I haven't had the block yet, quite the opposite, in that I have more thoughts going through my head than I can put to paper...so to keep things running smooth and with a good flow, I wait and sort them out in my head. I live the ideas before I put them to paper, that way I have to slow down and only write what makes sense to my mind. If it seems real to my mind, then I follow it and write it.

I enjoy telling a story about a world that many will never get to see, so I tell them of my world in such a way as they can imagine and see it through my pages. They get to "see" the day to day lives of my characters, and feel the pain and joys that my heroes experience.

Don't give up. People may or may not read what you have written, they may or may not buy your books...but if you enjoy the art of story telling, then indulge yourself and tell your stories. People will feel the enjoyment you have, and they will follow you.

I am currently working on book three of the saga, as well as taking an online writers course to improve my style and form. I hope to have book three done before the end of the year.

I have a friend, Drake Russell, who is also a writer. I talked with him, and after thinking of some of my favorite authors (some are listed here at Goodreads), I thought I'd give it a try. All trips start with your first step, and this is mine.

I came up with the idea of the Kambarington saga after I had to retire a play by email game called Loki's Quest. It was set in the fantasy world of Kambarington, and with the help of a very good friend, the game ran for about a year. I knew there was more to Kambarington than what had been experienced, so I began writing notes about a story...three chapters in I knew I was on the road to writing a book.
