L.M. Labat I got my idea for my first book from reading about various folklore and studying history while researching and practicing drawing medical illustrations.
L.M. Labat As a child, I survived a series of domestic, mental, and verbal abuse. During that time, horror, writing, and art were my refuge from the cruelty. So, growing up put of hazardous situations, writing and drawing in horror became my foundation for everything. By combining this and my love for World War 2 history, psychology, and the paranormal, I created The Sanguinarian Id.
L.M. Labat I am currently working on tailoring my second book in The Sanguinarian Id series as well as the illustrations for it.
L.M. Labat Keep going at it. I don't care how hard it is or how long it takes. You must sacrifice for the things you love and yearn for. There is no other way around it. You have a story, and it deserves to be known. Work, but work smart.
L.M. Labat There are no filters. Anything and everything that you want to manifest can happen in whatever you create. It's the ultimate sandbox mode.
L.M. Labat I barrel through it whether by lingering by my computer with insomnia or sketching out new illustration ideas. Either way, it's a smothering process. But, it's all worth trudging through.
