I usually don’t get writer’s block. I have other projects I work on throughout the day other than my books that help keep my mental process elastic and fresh. I usually pick a certain time to devote toward creative thought and try to stick to that. I’ll think about what I need to push a narrative forward or what I want in a character for development and I’ll spend however long I need with that. After I have it I move on to something else in my life that’s not book related.

Just kidding. I love just getting my thoughts out onto the screen. It feels good to me. The best feeling I have felt is when someone says that they enjoyed my book and then tell me which moment in particular struck a cord with them.

Don’t be afraid of criticism. Use that criticism to become an undeniably great writer. Find your story. It’s ok if your story is similar to someone else’s. You have to tell that story the way only you can tell it.

I usually see a small concept in a movie or book or show and think that it would be cool if we dove deeper into it. Sometimes I love the idea a story has but I have the urge to want to tell it in my own way.

I usually get my ideas from a multitude of places and throw them into one book. Specifically, the plot of this book came from the movie The Prophecy starring Christopher Walken. The idea of angels warring on Heaven and earth for God’s love blew my mind as a kid.
