Rob McLean Hi Howard. Sorry for the delayed reply. Thanks for the kind words! I'll take your words to heart, so much so that I'll write mostly only at night. :)
Rob McLean Clear the mind.

A little tea, a little meditation if required... but achieve a clear, calm, focused state of mind and the words usually show themselves.
Rob McLean The ability to give back and make the world a better place, even if it's only in a small, tiny way.

While books entertain us on one hand they also shape the world we live in; they encapsulate who we are, what we believe in, and what we care about - they are an expression of us.

To be a part of that expression is the best thing about being a writer.

Rob McLean The world is waiting.

You're here, now, with your own unique voice... so use it. There are readers out there waiting for an author that speaks to them and you might just be it.
Rob McLean I'm shortly about to begin writing a new book that extends on the ideas and story in The Fall of Man: Days of Judgment. It's not a sequel in that it's an entirely new cast of characters, but it will be within the same "world" and explore further the themes in The Fall of Man.
Rob McLean Once I've got a story fully fleshed out in my mind, that is inspiration enough. At that point it's harder not to write than it is to write.
Rob McLean The idea for The Fall of Man: Days of Judgment came as a result of the various trends unfolding in the world: chronic unemployment, rising suicide rates, wealth inequality, off-shoring of jobs, automation of jobs through technology, economies created on debt, and other such things.

It struck me, has mankind reached a breaking point?

I then combined all of that with a mystery/science fiction story and I think I created one heck of a ride for the reader. Something not only enjoyable to read just for a good story, but which also has greater depth when you scratch beneath the surface.
