Benjamin Ellefson I am currently working on publishing the sequel to The Land without Color. The Great Sugar War follows Alvin's grandfather Otto as he was the first to explore the kingdom during a great war between the Kingdom of Color and the Kingdom of Shapes. But every change when the mysterious sugar soldiers invade.

I always start a book with a one sentence idea. That becomes a bullet point list of events or characters in the book. As the list gets long, they get grouped into chapters.

Once I have a solid outline of every chapter and three or four things that will happen or will be revealed in that chapter, then I start the writing. From there, it just flows out.
