Craig Wickersham Great question. I like David Wingrove's Chung Kuo series. I'd love to cruise the cities with a camera, see the architecture (I'm an architect, too.)

For that matter, where do we come from? Some say the Word of God. Some say the Genetic Directive. What do you feel?

Process #1: When writing, I often see another way, another situation, and another world to create. I jot down the idea, let it grow, then define the very important story arc.
Process #2: I'll be driving or dreaming or talking, and an idea just pops into my head. Those are my favorites.

Craig Wickersham I write as a habit and love writing, so my problem isn't being inspired, it's keeping up with the ideas as they come. I have stacks and stacks of completed outlines ready for manuscript phase. Please help me.

Craig Wickersham I have a completed, three novel series ready for publishing -so I'm busy with that, and I have a new manuscript about halfway complete. Editing will start in a few months.

Craig Wickersham 1) WRITE! I write every day.
2) Stop watching television.
I grew up without a television. (My father finally caved when I was 13.)
3) Do not, under any circumstances, think an idea is bad to write about. Some manuscripts are for practice and they will contain treasures to cash in later.
