First of all, congrats on your book writing, that's SO fun! Secondly, no matter what, DON'T give up! Keep having fun with it, and remember that your first draft is just that: your first draft. I think self-publishing is a great option for just getting started and building your platform! It helps you walk through the entire process of creating, editing, finishing, publishing, and promoting your book, and you learn SO much through it! I would recommend using Amazon's Create Space to anyone who dreams of being a published author. Even if you do dreaming of going the traditional route someday, it still helps a lot for building your platform and introducing people to your works. :)

Two things! The first being, the brainstorming process. I love, love, LOVE allowing my imagination to soar freely and dream up whatever it wishes. This happens before the pen even hits the page. My second favorite thing, is when the story finally reaches the heart of the reader, and they feel like that fictional world has now collided with their reality. Best feeling ever! <3
