R.J. Fox A few years ago, I read an article in the Detroit Free Press about how every year, dozens of bodies show up in the Detroit morgue without identification. Many are never claimed and are buried without anyone knowing who they are. I found this to be equally intriguing and depressing. That was the impetus for a story focusing on five unidentified bodies that show up in the morgue one night, with the goal of bringing their identification into full light.
R.J. Fox At this point, writing is part of my muscle memory, so to speak. I just have a burning need and when I don't do it, I feel like part of me is missing. Also, coffee. Or bourbon.
R.J. Fox An edgy thriller set in Detroit entitled "Awaiting Identification." Worlds apart form my first book, which is far more light and fluffy.
R.J. Fox Find time to do it. Saying you have an idea is easy. Actually turning it into something, and then having the stamina to re-write over and over and over and over again...that's what makes you truly a writer.
R.J. Fox Being able to escape into a reality that isn't real.
R.J. Fox Bourbon.

Honestly, I rarely get it. Some days are better than others, but on a down day, I just plow through and somehow find a way.
