Write what you feel strongly about, not what the market demands. Persevere and have patience, as it is a long and rocky road from the day you begin to write, to when your work is accepted for publication.

If I am not making headway with a story, I just let it go and move on to writing another one. I find that when I come back to it after a few days, things fall in place, and I am able to finish it.
