G. Allen Cook It is. Unfortunately (for some readers), it is a second edition. No worries: If you've read the story--nothing in it has changed. Only the cover.

How do you get inspired to write?

G. Allen Cook Inspiration is an iron ball and shackle on the leg of every writer. I do not rely upon it. I wake early, get the kid ready for school, and then sit in my office chair and take up writing from where I left off the night before. I do not drink coffee--which is a bit odd for a writer--and I've never suffered writer's block. Waiting for inspiration is like waiting for rain--it's never there when you need it, and you never have an umbrella when it comes. Just write. Inspiration comes only after the work begins, and then rarely. I do not trust it.
