I don't know. For some reason, about ten years ago, the creative side of my brain suddenly came to life. Idea after idea invaded my thoughts. I eventually started writing them down. Now I'm working on making them more than just thoughts.

I have many ideas for stories of various genres, but the one that I am working on now is a mystery/crime thriller. Its about a former FBI agent brought back to help solve a series of crimes that are having a major impact on the area in which they are occurring.

This is a good question. Honestly, I don't remember. The first draft of my first book, This Point in My Life, was finished in 2009. It then took me six years to get it to the point where I felt I was ready to publish it. I don't remember where the idea for the story came from, but I know that as I started writing it just kept coming. It's great story, one that can have an emotional impact.
