If I could travel to any world at all I would love to go to Pandora, from the film Avatar.
I would love to live amongst the Na'vi, learn their ways and being able to communicate with animals and nature like they do with the film.

My most recent release, Hope's History, was inspired a while ago.
I actually started this before Book 1, well before. But I just couldn't finish it.
As I raised my daughter as a single mother for the first years of her life, I wanted to write a character that had a young child too.
I also was inspired by my boyfriend.
He is Jamaican and I had noticed there weren't many interracial couples in the romances I read before. I wanted to change that.
There are a few conversations and lines in my third book with Patois incorporated into it, not too much just enough for the characters development.
Patois is a beautiful language and I am captivated whenever he speaks it. I wanted it to sound natural, which I think I have managed quite well.

Writing a book is hard.
It is an art that you will learn to craft in your own special way.
You have to write, then edit, then write some more.
Write a synopsis/blurb that will grab a readers attention.
Design a cover, or buy one that fits what you need.
But being able to see your work out there live on websites and stores to buy is such an amazing feeling. It's worth that hard work.

I get to create my own little worlds. My rules. My decisions. My ideas.
All in one place.

I write what I would like to read.
It's that simple.
I take inspiration from things around me.
People, places and so on.
But I try and make it into something I want yo read too.

I'm working on a couple of things.
I have the next book in the Primrose Valley Series underway.
Then away from that series, I have 2 new series I am working on.
One is a Sci-Fi Romance Series, the other is a Special Forces Romance Series.
So stay tuned...

I do a variety of things when I have writers block.
I take time away and play games with my daughter.
Watching my favourite TV series and Movies helps me too.
Then there's reading.
I read my favourite books - sometimes books that I have read many times.
But it all helps me find my way through writers block.
