Cécile Rischmann I was sleeping on the floor of our dining hall, my head turned towards an inner stairway that led to our landlord’s terrace, when I heard the sound of a woman’s anklets. She came down the stairs, crossed over us, and entered my brother’s room. The next morning I hurried to my landlord’s place to ask him what was going on. I saw her photo on the wall.
Cécile Rischmann I’d like to explore heaven on earth. But this heaven would come wrapped in a hellish environment...However, I’d not let myself be discouraged and would look amidst the debris for the gift which is buried out there…and I’d find it.
Cécile Rischmann Every Breath you take - Judith McNaught
Not just a wall flower - Carole Mortimer
Cécile Rischmann What would happen if an Indian woman, on the point of an arrange marriage, meets a Frenchman and falls madly in love with him?
Cécile Rischmann Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey
I like her attitude, going after what she wants despite knowing the dangers she’s courting. Willing to put up with his strangeness in order to pursue her goal: to love and to be loved. I like the vulnerable side of Christian that emerges whenever he is with Anastasia.
Cécile Rischmann I don’t think of it as a block for when you think of it as a block it becomes a block. Instead I knock off for a while and do some household chores. And then come back and start writing.
Cécile Rischmann Write because you love to write not because you want to earn. When you write with passion your best comes out. And when your best comes out your readers will feel it.
Cécile Rischmann I’m currently working on promoting ‘The French Encounter’ to my audience as it would be a pity if it doesn’t reach them and they do not experience its impact.

Meanwhile I’m into another manuscript that I’ve been working on for years and hope to publish it soon.
Cécile Rischmann I write because I love to write with no deadlines. Hence I’m not under any external pressure and can lose myself in the world of my characters . . . Live with them. I believe it is very important to be at peace with oneself to create soul-stirring stories.
Cécile Rischmann My personal experience of being wooed by a Frenchman (currently my husband). As an Indian girl, it is not an everyday occurrence falling in love with a Frenchman. I wanted to bring out the comedy and tragedy of both cultures, create a love story that goes beyond national boundaries.
