E.L. Tenenbaum Hi Marit,
My current publisher only works with paperbacks at this point, so that's how the series will be published for the foreseeable future.
Thank you for your question.
Happy reading!
E.L. Tenenbaum The End of Ever After series is officially Young Adult, though it holds great crossover appeal to adults as well.
As many of the voices are more mature, and many of the characters are older teens to early twenties, the series may be better appreciated by older teens, about fifteen/sixteen, and up.
Overall, the content is clean and the writing doesn't dwell on graphic or explicit imagery, so it is appropriate for young adult readers.
E.L. Tenenbaum Ideas come from so many different, sometime odd, places.
Thinking of what I've written so far, the range includes an idea that's just been sitting around for a while that had to come out, thinking of a phrase or title and creating a story around it, and randomly being struck by creative lighting one day while walking out of my house, among others.
Keep the mind open, and let it wander sometimes, too.
E.L. Tenenbaum With what? ;)
Sometimes just let a story sit and come back to it later. Other times it helps to ask questions about where I want things to be, then just write even if I don't think it's that great. If the feeling persists once I've got something, anything, down, then I'll stop for a while and don't try to force it anymore.
Another option is to start work on something else, or just move to a different part that does flow.
E.L. Tenenbaum Read a lot. Every book has something to offer. Don't shrug off good writing, take what you can, even if you don't like the story.
Keep writing!
Getting all the words out is hardly the first step. Editing and more editing is what's going to make your story good. Let others read your story and listen to what they have to say. Even if not exactly on point, there will be something there will be something to make your writing even better.
E.L. Tenenbaum Writing!
Aaaand, creating worlds and stories, characters and relationships that come alive with every word you write.
