“I love getting questions from readers! My latest book takes place in Edwardian England--the same time period as the first season of Downton Abbey, so I'd like to hear from fans of this era.”

Middle Earth might be fun, but more than a little dangerous. Perhaps the St. Mary's Mead of Agatha Christine's Miss Marple or the Oxford of Chief Inspector Morse.

I have Victoria Thompson's new book, "Murder in the Bowery," and the next Timber Creek K-9 Mystery, "Stalking Ground," by Margaret Mizushima.

My house! We've been here over 15 years, but it was build in 1850. Who lived here? What were their lives like? It was all farmland then. What secrets did they have?

Thanks for your kind words! Yes, the manuscript for the third Lady Frances book is already with my publisher. "Death at the Emerald" takes place in Edwardian London's lively theatre world and the very beginnings of the British film industry. It will be out later this year. It will eventually appear on Goodreads, and I'll also be making announcements on my Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ladyfrancesf...

"Death at the Emerald" will be published in November. It takes place in the theatre world--and the new motion picture industry. In addition to Frances and Mallow, Hal Wheaton, Lord and Lady Seaforth and Inspector Eastley and Smith are back, along with some of Frances' relations.

Favorite romantic couple? I'd say Tommy and Tuppence, from Agatha Christie. An absolute delight. And unlike her other sleuths, this couple ages over the years.

If it ever happens, I'll let you know. The great Isaac Asimov wrote some 300 books in his lifetime. Writer's block was alien to him.

A mystery novel featuring the young Alice Roosevelt, eldest daughter of Theodore Roosevelt. She was a larger than life character, one of the most colorful figures in Washington during her long life, and it's fun imagining her as an amateur detective in turn of the century New York City.

I have always been interested in the Edwardian era, as a fascinating transition time between the Victorian age and modern times. My first Lady Frances novel addresses the Boer War, which is often overshadowed by World War I, but was a radical departure from past wars in many respects.

I have so many stories in my head! I have no trouble with writer's block. I have enough ideas to keep me busy for years. My "inspiration" comes from years as a journalist. Inspired or not, you write or you're fired!
