I have been reading a ton this year thanks to the quarantine and lack of interest in gaming right now. My favorite genre is Paranormal Romance at the moment with some military/police romance thrown in. I've been getting caught up on Tana Stone's books which are good quick reads with hunky heroes, spunky heroines, and great world building. The military/police romances have been mostly Vani Lynn Vale's SWAT series which are gritty, raw, and oh so steamy.

A blank notepad, a walk outside, watching a sci-fi or adventure movie, reading one of my favorite author's series, just keep reworking the story in your mind. It will come to you. Don't give up.

Well, I like being able to make the story go where I want... although I have to say since I've been writing this series the story has a life of it's own and can take over no matter where I think it should lead. :) For me the best part is revisiting the stories by reading them over again. I feel as if they are my friends and family sometimes.

Just sit down and let your mind go where you find inspiration. A book is like everything else in life takes consistency and focus. Keep writing down ideas as they come to you and don't let writers block get you down. Take a walk, go outside, watch a movie. Inspiration is all around you.

I'm currently working on the sixth installment of this series with ideas for at least four more novels beyond that, maybe more.

My favorite paranormal erotica writer, Laurann Dohner was the main inspiration for sitting down and writing a full length fan fiction book based on her New Species series. Inspired after that quick and fairly easy endeavor, I became motivated to write my own storyline and the Guardians were born from that.

My inspiration for the book I've just published came from reading so my favorite paranormal romance authors in the last few years. I came into this genre late and have enjoyed each and every unique storyline.
