Robyn Bennis I was lucky enough to stumble upon the inspiration center of the brain while researching neurophysiology at Harvard in the mid-2000s. After nearly a decade of additional research, I developed a method of directly stimulating this region with a complex combination of chemical and electrical signals. Using a prototype implant powered by a nine-volt battery, I can become inspired with the push of a button. As a side effect, however, I now pee anytime someone says the word, "cactus."
