Zachariah Rippee My childhood experiences and fears regarding reading strongly influenced my dedication to telling a story that showed the importance of reading as a life skill. The story was really a dialogue between a father who grew up hating reading and his children who have yet to experience the joy of reading. It was my attempt to save "reading" for my children, before they were turned off of it.
Zachariah Rippee I don't know if I was inspired to write so much as I was inspired to tell a story. That's all I wanted to do. That's all I really do.
Zachariah Rippee I'm a "baby writer". I think trying to give advice at this point in my "career" would be foolish. So rather than advice, I would give encouragement to my fellow "baby writers". If you want to write, the only one who will stop you is you.
Zachariah Rippee In my opinion the best part of being a writer is the ability to share a story. My family loves telling stories. Being able to tell stories that reach the ears of so many readers is a dream come true.
Zachariah Rippee I write. It doesn't have to be good. I can decide later to keep it or get rid of it. But sometimes, if you're stuck, the best thing to do is just write. You might accidentally stumble into something wonderful!
Zachariah Rippee Right now I'm working on a few different things. The second book in the Elijah stories titled "Elijah and the City in Danger" is currently in pre-production. The story is coming together quickly, and I am really enjoying the illustration process for this book. The drawings are fun and full of energy!

Also, I have completed a story about a family outing that turns memorable when they find out that they are camping in the woods on the same night that a magical creature has an amazing once a year celebration! I have yet to draw a single illustration for this story. Illustration is scheduled to begin near Thanksgiving.

Also, stories are in the works for space dinosaurs, giant cupcakes, and a boy that has monstrous hair problems!
