My upcoming book, 'Fortune-69', was influenced by a real world event. The original idea, at least. I attended a party (uninvited) that had a hypnotist doing a cheesy show. As a man interested in amatuer magic myself, I was really curious as to whether it was real or not. So, I just walked up onto the stage and sat down. The event itself did not result in a quasi-sexual encounter like in the book, but regardless, it made me wonder about hynotism in general and started the creative juices.
