The latest, book, Sergeant Stone, Sentinel of the Crescent City, is a sequel to a book I wrote ten years ago called Sergeant Stone, NOPD. That book in turn was inspired by the character of Sergeant Stone created by my Uncle James S. Prine and featured in some of the short stories in his published collection, Tales From the Id. I kept waiting for him to write more with this character, but when he didn't I gained his permission to do so myself.
Sergeant Stone, NOPD picks up the adventures of this enigmatic time-traveling cop and slowly reveals his secrets. One of these secrets is that he is engaged in an Inter-Dimensional War with Earth and its history being one of the major fronts.
Sergeant Stone, Sentinel of the Crescent City deals with the aftermath of the Inter-Dimensional War and its impact on Stone and Isis, the lovely Egyptian princess introduced as Stone's love interest in the first book. There is unfinished business and a plentitude of vengeful enemies that are unhappy with Stone's actions in the first book.
