I don't write. I'll read, watch films, or practice empathy in my mind for inspiration. If you're constructing a home do you build a wall merely to stay busy? No! You study the plans, interior finishes, flooring, landscaping ideas, and make sure the project is carefully planned from start to finish. The same logic should be applied to writing.
