After thinking about this question for a bit, I realized that there is no fictional couple that really stands out to me. I tend to read books about trauma and other difficult situations. However, the real life story of Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe - told in her book Just Kids - definitely brings to mind warm feelings of youth and art and romance.
