Michelle Joy After thinking about this question for a bit, I realized that there is no fictional couple that really stands out to me. I tend to read books about trauma and other difficult situations. However, the real life story of Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe - told in her book Just Kids - definitely brings to mind warm feelings of youth and art and romance.

Michelle Joy I was a coauthor on this book with someone who works with disruptive behaviors. But inspiration on dealing with difficult people is literally all around, every day! As is inspiration for making things better.
Michelle Joy I turn off the computer screen and write without looking, anything that comes to mind, stream of consciousness for a while. Then go back and see what came forth!
