Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Haley Allison It was an evolution of ideas that started when I was a 14-year-old girl. I won't give the details of the original story, since I might be publishing that separately someday, but it started out as a children's story that somehow morphed into a snarky, scheming 16-year-old.

How do you get inspired to write?

Haley Allison Daydreaming, listening to music, observing people, and living life. Reading other books and watching movies and TV are great, too.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Haley Allison Never, ever give up. Keep moving forward. Reach for the moon, and all that jazz.
