oh, tough one. i would probably go to the harry potter world and attend hogwarts.

oh, i think the easier answer would be what doesn't inspire me! i have built entire books around a joke that took up all of one paragraph in the story. something i see, a song or one liner i hear, etc. it's all around. the problem i seem to have is deciding which inspiration to follow at the time. but i keep lots of notes and files for all the other ones i have to come back to later.

i've used music, reading, and just writing until i'm unblocked. i figure the important part is to keep going. i can always go back and fix it later. but it's a lot easier to fix something that i've already written than to deal with a blank page.

my husband was reading over my shoulder one night and asked why is it that when a guy does what the hero in the book was doing it's considered creepy, but in books, women swoon and get all turned on. he said that in books, and even movies, if the guy whispers in the girl's ear, it's supposed to be sexy. but in reality, it's weird and liable to get him punched. he had a point. we tested it out (and admittedly continue to do so, lol) and it has yet to improve! if he wasn't my husband, i would totally sue for harassment. he's lucky it makes me laugh.
