Hi Tracy - I pleased you enjoyed the books, it means a lot when readers feed back what they thought, particularly when it is positive . I'm keen to write more Alice Rossi, but I have a couple of books in different series in the pipeline so it's going to be a little while I'm afraid. x

Hi Louise - the piece you refer to in 'Dead Lost' where Doc Hoyle's wife has sorted Tom with his disguise - should read ex-wife. They are divorced but remain good friends. She turns up again in the new one I'm working on and this is explained more.

Hi Karen, So pleased you like the books - it takes me roughly about 3 months from the first germ of an idea. But then it goes to my publisher who sends it on to the editor. After that I have the final proof reading to do - iron out all the little problems that I haven't spotted! Once I get to the final chapters I'm usually thinking about the next one. Helen x

Write, write and write again. Get your ideas down. Don't worry how it reads to begin with - it doesn't matter, you can hone it later. If you've got a story in you then make time to write it. You need discipline - a time when you write every day regardless. Don't put it off. Good luck.

Hi Brenda - yes I am., mostly from my garden. I have recently started to use a 'trail cam' . I fix it near the feeders and it takes the photos/videos -it's sensitive to movement. I used to have a greater selection of birds, bullfinches, goldfinches - they were lovely to watch. But something seems to have happened because they don't come any more! We do watch the birds on holiday too - Ravens in Anglesey, Puffins and a whole selection of raptors in the Hebrides. Waiting to see what I get for the 'Big Garden Bird Watch' later in the month.

Hi Jill - the sequence for the books is:
Dead Wrong Calladine & Bayliss 1
Dead Silence Calladine & Bayliss 2
Dead List Calladine & Bayliss 3
Sorry for any confusion - there is a fourth book in this series in progress - Dead Bones
However I have the first book in a second series due out - Dark Murder - this is a 'spin off' and features a detective first met in Dead List.

Hi Brenda - once I get the character in my head it just sort of comes. While I've been working on the books they've been in my head having conversations constantly. Makes me sound odd when I actually write that down!

Thank you, Cynthia - it's great to know that readers enjoy my work. Hope you enjoy the next one.
