One of my favorite literary couples is Charles Egremont and Sybil Gerard from Disraeli’s novel Sybil, or the Two Nations. They are intelligently written characters in the most socially complex novel I have read. They talk of politics and religion, agree and disagree on subjects, but are able to come together for swashbuckling climax and fairytale ending.

Being a writer can be an advantage for people who have free or down time when not working at their career; that is if their career is not writing. It is a good creative path that can help organize and improve ideas in all areas of interest.

A project that I am working with now is trying to apply formal argumentation to Shakespearian Sonnets. I have kicked the idea around for about six years. I haven’t had good success, but feel I am getting better at it.
