How hard is it to write biblical fiction?
Connilyn Cossette I wouldn’t say it is hard, but there is a lot of research that goes into it along with the general work of making plot, characterization, and themes work together. Thankfully, I am a history nerd and love to get lost on historical rabbit trails!

Thanks Connie. I live in Reidsville, North Carolina and I was wondering where in North Carolina do you live? Our church has a book club and this month we are discussing Counted With the Stars. It was a wonderful book and I'm looking forward to reading the second one.

I've read that your residence is in Texas and in North Carolina, and I'm curious as to which one is correct?
Connilyn Cossette Hi Wanda, We just moved to North Carolina a year ago in February but lived in Texas for 13 years before that, so they are both kinda of correct :)

I was wondering what the Out From Egypt trilogy was about. Do you think you could give me an idea over all? It would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Connilyn Cossette The Out from Egypt series begins with the journey of an Egyptian slave experiencing the events of the Exodus and continues through the eyes of a young Hebrew midwife at Mt. Sinai and concludes with the story of a Canaanite women who is taken captive by the Hebrews, ending with the fall of Jericho. The series basically tells the story of the Exodus from "outsider" perspectives. Hope that helps!

I love your work! Have you been to Israel?
Connilyn Cossette Hi Heather! Thanks so much! I have not been yet, but I am thrilled to say that I am traveling there this summer! I am going on a tour headed by Cliff Graham, a fellow Bethany House Biblical Fiction author. I am so excited, I cannot wait for July and to see the Land of Promise with my own eyes which has been a dream since I was a little girl. Connilyn Cossette Hi Barb! Thank you so much! I am so glad you enjoyed it. I haven't heard a final date on Book 3 but my guess is it should be out in Spring of 2017. Seems like forever away, but if it's anything like last year I am sure it will whoosh by!
