I have read countless paperback books in the Science Fiction, Adventure and Paranormal genres. I always found myself thinking I could have made a story a little different and maybe more exciting or plausible. The scientific views and technological devices had to have a realistic background. The story had to be believable. The story had to begin with a real event. With a real threat, I wanted a story that would span many years with actual historical events to bring the reader to the present. I hope I accomplished my goal.

I wanted to use actual things or events that have happened in the past and build a story around those events as if the events were part of my story. The events had to be significant and have an effect on millions of people. I wanted my readers to be able to associate the story in my book with events they actually endured.

It is virtually impossible to edit your own work. Your brain will read your written words just like you thought you typed those words. You will pass right over errors because your brain knows what you meant. Your brain won’t see all your errors because it’s not a disinterested witness.
