At the age of 75 God allowed me to have breast cancer and survive. Why, at this stage of my life, and for what purpose? Could there be a new chapter of my life about to unfold, and if so, where will it take me? I was prepared to simply live out my golden years quietly serving my Lord with my husband, but now I feel I’m being prepared for something more.

Book three in my series came about to provide the reader of the first two books (The Estate Sale, and Legacy’s Path), the opportunity to follow the characters as they discover the truth in the legacy given to them.
My cancer devotional book was born as I went through chemo and faced cancer fears head on. I want to help other women overcome those same fears.

I have always had a writer’s pen inside me as long as I can remember. I honestly believe God put it there so that I would use it for His glory.

I am working on two projects: book three of my Legacy Series, and a breast cancer devotional book. It’s taking a bit longer to write the third book in the series because I was sidelined last June with breast cancer. I have completed chemo, surgery, and radiation treatments, and have been declared by my doctors to be cancer free.

Just begin! You have to gets words on paper before you can edit. Write when you can, no matter how short a time it might be, Just begin!

I step away from the story and get involved in other activity. I find that when I’m actively working my brain and body on other projects, my characters have been doing the same. When I return to the page we use our projects to move the story forward.

I believe God gifted me the skills to write. The best thing about being a writer is knowing I’m using the skills He gave me for His glory.
