Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Tracy Korn I wrote AQUA because I wanted to read it! I love the indomitable spirit in teenagers, and I love the metaphor of ocean to represent the pressures they face in today's world. With everything crashing down on them at any given time, they find a way to keep their heads above water over and over again. That's inspiring to me.

Tracy Korn Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER quit.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Tracy Korn Writer's block happens when I'm trying too hard to write, so I try to do something else for a little while like take a walk or read.

Tracy Korn The best thing about being a writer is getting to invent interesting people, then getting to hang out with them in your head whenever you want.
