Thank you, Brenda! I hope you enjoy it. I am finishing up addresses and mailing them this week. :)

I often walk or run when I can. There's a euphoria that hits while running. It's tough to get to at times, but when there, my head clears, then opens for the ideas to flow. If running isn't possible because I'm a cold weather wimp, I read when I've written out loud to myself to get a feel of where it needs to flow next.

I can work anywhere. I practically live in my warm, cozy pajamas in the cold Colorado winters, and I sit outside on our patio in the summers. I also get to share the clutter in my head after I've formed it into a cohesive story.

It's cliche, but write. Write every day. Write down ideas. Keep your phone or notebook by your bed, and write down the ideas you find swimming in your head while you sleep. Also, connect with other writers and readers. In this day of social media and technology at our finger tips, you can connect for tips, ideas, learn from others, as well as offer your own insight. And remember your platform online is who your readers will see as well. So be who'd you'd like to support yourself.

I am finishing up my next novel. It's been titled Just Jules for almost a year now, but after writing it, Jules is anything but alone. So the title has changed. This one takes place in a small Western Colorado mountain town time forgot. It follows a woman, her son, a hot handyman, and a very old Soda Fountain owner. Like most of my stories, there is love, there is loss, there is hope, forgiveness, kindness, and trials which question the strength of the heart.

Music inspires me more than just about anything. But I do have those special scenes playing out in my head all the time. In real life, I can envision different ways a scene could go if the players changed, or were motivated in different ways, or circumstances were only slightly altered. While I think about those alternate scenes in my head, music often guides the rest.

I had the idea for 34 Seconds years ago, but the whole story seemed to change, evolve even, as I wrote it. The town where 34 Seconds takes place, Deltaville, Virginia, is a place very close to my heart. I haven't been there in over three years now, and I may never go back. In many ways, 34 Seconds was closure for me on this special little town.
