I have an idea which is based around a 'Rosemary's baby' theme, but with a major twist. This is going to be my longest piece to date as I usually prefer short stores. Therefore it's going to take a lot of planning before I can get into the writing stage.

I write only short stories at the moment. I usually base them on a factual event but let my imagination go down the 'what if' road.

Just do it. Get an idea, sit down and type it out. Don't stop to edit typos 'til your done. Read you piece over and let someone else read it to correct any mistakes. Don't submit it anywhere until you are completely happy with the piece yourself.
