The bad news is that Imprint, the publisher within Macmillan that purchased the rights to Freya, closed during the pandemic and because book publishing red tape is crazy, Book 3 has been in limbo ever since.

Hello Stephanie! Thank you for the question - while I don't have any current plans for a tour, it's certainly a possibility after Slay, the sequel to Freya, comes out in the spring next year! I have to say I'd absolutely love to attend the National Book Festival. My mother is a librarian, and I have very fond memories of attending an ALA conference with her in DC. Any event or organization that supports literacy and public libraries is automatically a winner in my book. When it comes to travel (especially for me, since I'm not currently living in the US), time and money certainly play a role - but if the stars align and I can attend, you bet I will.

The same advice that's always given when this question is asked, I'm afraid: Write. I remember reading once that you have a million bad words in you when you start, and the only way to get to the good stuff is to get them out and on paper. So write. Write a million words of whatever you fancy, and at the end of that journey, see where you stand.
