That's a difficult question to answer. And sometimes the best thing about being a writer can sometimes be the worst thing too. :) So, at this moment, the best thing about being a writer for me is that I'm rarely ever bored.

Current Events, things that infuriate me, occurrences that make me smile, laugh, or cry. Problems in the world. Dreams, nightmares, quirky moments of life. And on and on.

I deal with writer's block by reading with a purpose. I either reread what I already wrote, reading another author's work for inspiration (while Eye of the Tiger plays in my mind -- DAH, DAH-DAH-DAH!), or reading a nonfiction book on the craft of writing. Listening to music also often helps in breaking down the barrier. ^_^

I'm currently working on research for the second book in the series. The working title is "Bloodlines". I'm having lots of fun.
