Emma Franieczek Going out for a walk with a notepad and pen, rather than sitting at a desk in front of a black page on a screen always seems to clear my head.
Emma Franieczek As you can see in my bio, I worked as cabin crew which inspired the book. However, I really wanted the book to show the 'hidden' side to being cabin crew. I also wanted it to have a feminist view point, so took inspiration from people I met and my own experiences to create my characters and their story lines. It took a good few years to come into the format it did, as I knew I wanted to write about my experiences but wasn't quite sure how. I hope anyone who reads it can not only learn about life as crew but can also see themselves in a character and can take their story to heart and learn from it.
Emma Franieczek A few things. I have just finished my first novel, my take on the world using science fiction, and am tweaking this.

I am also writing a long short story / novella, not 100% sure what it is yet, set at a university in Oxford in the 50s when it was still new to have female students.

I am also forming my second novel possibly dystopian / sci-fi with circus performers. Again it's rough but exciting.
