An American soldier serving in Germany during the Cold War in 1987 goes to to the ruins of an old German castle with two friends. While there, they are confronted by a ghost of a young German in a WWII uniform who directs them to the only remaining room in the dilapidated old ruin where they enter a vortex which takes them back in time to Nazi Germany and the Holocaust.

I would want to be a hobbit and live in Hobbiton in “Lord of the Rings’” Middle Earth. I would travel back and forth to Gondor to serve as the hobbits’ representative to King Aragorn’s ruling council. When not serving as representative, I would work in the Green Dragon serving ale and food. My dream job!!

To be honest, I haven't had an opportunity to choose any books. I have been taking care of my parents who live in a retirement facility and have been in ill health. Dad has had three strokes and Mom had her knee replaced. Now my parents in-law will soon be moving to assisted living. I am also trying to finish my next book in the midst of all of this. Hopefully, I will get to do some reading this summer. I will definitely be checking out Goodreads for books. If you have any suggestions, please let me know! I will need some good books to escape to soon!

My husband and I are planning to retire to a country house located on six acres right by the San Gabriel River in Georgetown, TX. Ancient Native American artifacts such as tools and arrowheads have been found in the area near our property some dating back to 900 BC. I really want to know more about these ancient people and their role in Georgetown's history. I plan to write an historical fiction book about Georgetown and the groups of people who lived in the area and contributed to the development and founding of the town.

Scarlett and Rhett from "Gone With The Wind"
Their relationship is tumultuous, exciting, and definitely never dull! Throughout the story, and Scarlett's first marriages, you keep waiting for her to see that Rhett is the man for her. When they finally do get together, Mitchell keeps up the romantic intrigue by causing the reader to become frustrated with Scarlett's stubbornness and blindness concerning her true feelings for Rhett. Finally, at the end of the story the reader is left hoping, but never knowing, whether Scarlett and Rhett ever get back together.
